Viewing Problem Reports

To view a problem report highlight it from the Problem List and double-click, or you can be more selective by using one of the Edit menu functions:

When viewing a problem report, the top half of the problem report contains a toolbar, title, originator, priority, status, method, assignment and custom fields; the bottom half of the problem report form contains the problem description edit box. The description box can be configured, for more information on configuring the description window, see templates.

The problem report toolbar options:

  1. View Mode
    • Edit - allows you to enter data during each stage, for more information see Editing Problem Reports.
    • Print button - prints the problem report, for more information on printing to file see Printing Problem Reports.
    • Previous button - allows you to see the previous problem in the list.
    • Next button - allows you to view the next problem report in the problem list.
    • Goto button - will display a dialog box allowing you to enter the specific number of the report you want.
    • Maximize or Restore button - allows you to view the problem description in fullscreen mode or with other information.
  2. Edit Mode
    • Save button - will save any change you made to the problem report.
    • Cancel button - will cancel any change you made to the problem report.
    • Cut button - allows you to cut text from a textbox, combo box or problem report's description.
    • Copy button - allows you to copy text from a textbox, combo box or problem report's description.
    • Paste button - allows you to paste text from clipboard to a textbox, combo box or problem report's description.
    • Attach button - allows you to attach a file into the problem report's description.
    • Insert Hyperlink button - allows you to insert a hyperlink into the problem report's description.
    • Maximize or Restore button - allows you to view the problem description in fullscreen mode or with other information.
