Using Queries



The Query function allows you to select a set of problem reports that have certain properties. You can create multiple queries and add them to the Query menu. You can also specify the query to be used when PR-Tracker is started.

The various query options are as follows:

Selecting all problem reports in the current problem list that contains search text in Title and Description
  1. From the Toolbar, select Search Titles and Text button.
  2. The Problem List will be updated containing all the problems that are contained the search text in the title and description.
  3. If you would like to narrow your text search, enter search text and click on Search Within Results button.
Selecting all problem reports in the Startup Query
  1. From the Toolbar, select Startup Query button.
  2. The Problem List will be updated containing all the problems that are met all the criteria of the startup query. If the startup query is not specified, then the Problem List will contain all problem reports in the current project.
Selecting all problem reports assigned to you (current user)
  1. From the Toolbar, select Problems Reports waiting for my attention button.
  2. The Problem List will be updated containing all the problems that are assigned to you (current user).
Selecting all problem reports in the current project
  1. From the Query menu select List All Problems.
  2. The Problem List will be updated containing all the problems entered on the project.
Selecting all problem reports in the particular query
  1. From the Query menu, select Your Query Name.
  2. The Problem List will be updated containing all the problems that are met all the criteria of this particular query.
Refreshing the current query
  1. From Query menu, select Refresh or from the Toolbar, select Refresh Query button.
  2. The Problem List will be updated containing all the problems that are met all the criteria of the current query.
