There are various ways to configure virtual directory security that are compatible with
PR-Tracker Web Client. The options you choose partly depend on whether or not you want
PR-Tracker Web Client Users to connect using a login name and password or not. Two ways to
configure virtual directory security are described below.
Setting security to connect without a login name
- Right click on the prtracker virtual directory and select Properties from the popup
menu.
- Select the Directory Security tab on the Properties dialog
- Click the Edit button under Anonymous Access and Authentication Control. The
Authentication Methods dialog will appear.
- Check Allow Anonymous Access and click the Edit button. The Anonymous User Account
dialog will be displayed.
- Click the Browse button and then select the username that prtracker.asp will run under
from the Select NT User Account dialog.
- Click successive OK buttons until to save settings until you return to the Directory
Security tab on the Properties dialog.
- Optionally, edit IP Address and Domain Name Restriction to prevent access to PR-Tracker
from unauthorized locations.
