Determining the server IP address

Determine the TCP/IP address on Windows
NT
- Right-click the Network Neighborhood
icon on the desktop of the server and select Properties from the
popup menu.
- From the Network dialog select tab Protocols
and the double-click the list item TCP/IP Protocol.
- If the TCP/IP address is not obtained from a
DHCP server the it will be shown in the TCP/IP Properties dialog.
Determine the TCP/IP address on Windows
2000
- Right-click the My Network Places icon
the the desktop of the server and select Properties from the popup
menu.
- From the Network and Dialup Connections
dialog, right-click the Local Area Connection dialog and select Properties
from the popup dialog.
- From the Local Area Connections Properties
dialog, double-click list item Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
- If the IP address is not obtained
automatically, it will be listed in the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
Properties dialog.
