Configuring SQL Server

In order to use SQL Server as the database provider for PR-Tracker, the Windows user prtracker must have permission to perform operations such as creating a new database and adding and deleting fields to an existing database. If the user prtracker is a local administrator or a domain administrator, it automatically has permission, if not SQL Server must give prtracker permission. To do this, perform the steps below.

1. From the Windows Start button select Programs | Microsoft SQL Server | Enterprise Manager
2. From the SQL Server Enterprise Manager , on the left panel navigate down to and select Server Roles
   
3. Double-click System Administrators in the righthand panel.
4. From the Server Role Properties dialog, Add Windows user prtracker.
